Project Applications Application Procedure The first step to build a partnership in the process of developing a North Sea Region Programme project application is to read and consider all application materials carefully. Relevant information can be found on the sub pages in this section and in the application section of the Project Life Cycle. You can also follow the latest developments in the News section. -
During a Call for Applications, project applications may be submitted to the Secretariat. Applications are submitted and processed online. -
The Secretariat will inform the Lead Beneficiary once the application has been received. -
All projects will first be assessed on eligibility. If the project fails the eligibility check, the Lead Beneficiary will receive a letter from the Secretariat explaining why the project application failed. The Steering Committee will be notified of all projects that failed to meet the eligibility check. -
When a project meets the eligibility requirements, the Secretariat will carry out an assessment of the application applying the core selection criteria and the priority considerations. -
Based on the application form and the consequent assessment, the Steering Committee will take a decision. After the Steering Committee meeting, the Lead Beneficiary will be informed of the decision. -
Once a project application is approved, the Secretariat will draw up the contract on behalf of the national authorities of the Lead Beneficiary organisation. When the Steering Committee rejects the project, a letter of rejection will be sent to the Lead Beneficiary. The Lead Beneficiary is responsible for communicating the decision to the other partners in the project.
