The Programme will arrange the next Lead Beneficiary Seminar in connection with the Cluster Projects Development Event in Bremen, Germany, on 12-14 October.

The Northern Maritime University (NMU) was invited to give a presentation on the topic of the international university network for innovative education and R&D and to attend the panel discussion for International Education Cooperation by He Mingke the dean of the Graduate School, professor of Business School of Beijing Technology and Business University of China (BTBU), and vice director of Teaching Guiding Committee for Logistics Education of Ministry of Education of China. The discussion took place in the frame of the 2010 Annual Educators’ Conference on Logistics Education in Changsha from July 26 to August 4, 2010.

State Secretary for European Affairs Heinz Maurus from the regional government of Schleswig-Holstein is on a tour to visit different Interreg projects in the region.

The Scoop! Magazine featuring seven Interreg projects is now available online. The thematic focus of the magazine is on sustainability cooperation in the northern Netherlands.

The Annual Event of the Interreg IVA 2 Seas Programme will take place in Bournemouth, UK on 23 September 2010.

On September 3 and 4, the NMU partner University of Applied Sciences Bremen invites to the 4th Bremer Shipping Congress. The conference 2010 focusses on “Lifelong Learning – human resources development in the maritime industry”.
The NMU project is involved in the organisation and project partner Thomas Pawlik will be chairing the first day of the conference. Furthermore, the NMU will be present with an exhibition stall, too.

At SC 5, which was held 2-3 June in Ghent, Belgium, the Steering Committee decided to approve 15 applications: seven full applications and eight applications for extensions.

Registration for the Joint Annual Conference and General Assembly 2010 of the North Sea Region Programme and the North Sea Commission is now open. The event will take place 16-18 June in Stavanger, Norway.

The City of Hamburg will present a number of running INTERREG projects with partners from Hamburg. The exhibition will be shown 10-21 May in the Hamburg City Hall.
