On 09th December, the specialist symposium on „Climate Change and Sustainable Water Management“ was held in Lyngby/Copenhagen as one of the many parallel events to the 15th United Nations Conference of the Parties (COP15). Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the German partner of the Interreg IVB North Sea Region project SKINT and of the Interreg IVB Baltic Sea Region project WATERPRAXIS, organized the event for which more than 40 international participants registered, whereas the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) kindly hosted it.

Arctic Technology Institute’s Prof Arne Villumsen (DTU) and Carsten Westerholt from the Interreg North Sea Region Programme welcomed the audience. Experts from e.g. the UNESCO or the SEI as well as project partners gave presentations on diverse water management issues dealing with climate change. The audience learned from water management and water projects in different countries such as Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, the UK and Germany. An active discussion followed the presentations and participants extensively used the possibility to network.
